Attendance & Punctuality

All students must be available for the full duration of the course. Any absence, except for illness, must be arranged in advance with the Principal and accompanied by an authorised absence form. First Act reserves the right to remove any student from the course if their attendance is deemed unsatisfactory. Students should attend class when injured to observe.

Behaviour

Students are expected to behave in a professional manner, whilst on the course. Any behaviour which brings FA into disrepute may result in the relevant student being dismissed from the course.

Clothing

Students are expected to wear the correct clothing for each discipline. Clothes should be all black and correctly fitted. Footwear must be the appropriate type for each dance style. Failure to comply will result in the student being asked to sit the class out.

Professional Development

First Act reserves the right to remove a student from the course if it is determined that sufficient effort and progress are not being made. We are dedicated to supporting our students and helping them reach their goals. The decision to remove a student due to lack of progress is extremely rare and will only be made as a last resort, after providing the student with ample opportunities to improve.

Work Permission

Students are strictly prohibited from participating in any professional theatrical production during their training without the written consent of the Principal. Students should refrain from attending auditions for professional productions during their training.

Insurance

First Act carries full public and employer's liability insurance, at a level commensurate with activities undertaken.

Personal Possessions

Whilst every care is taken to ensure a secure training environment, First Act accepts no responsibility for loss of, or damage to personal possessions.
